Meet Jake

Jake’s fascination with baking started at a young age. Well, since he’s only 13, we’ll say a younger age!

Inspired by a recipe in a children’s cookbook and with lots of support from his mom and three older sisters, Jake made his first batch of sugar cookies. After the incredibly positive response (the entire batch of cookies disappeared in minutes) he was motivated to keep going. 

His culinary skills have grown in complexity and skill, and to the amazement of his friends and family, he tackles complicated recipes with ease. 

Jake has made everything from cheese danishes, croissants, Boston cream eclairs, custard-filled donuts, cream puffs, babka chocolate bread, focaccia, pizzas, chocolate-dipped macaroons, double layer cookies filled with jam, and lattice pies!

Jake  dreams of traveling to Europe one day to attend culinary school and learn from Master Bakers. When he’s not in the kitchen, he enjoys playing video games with his friends, rock climbing, bike riding, camping and fishing.
